Time Runs (2011), was essentially created from photographs and represents a race through Monsanto Park, in Lisbon. Although most of the recording was done on audio, the scarce footage (black screen) was made during the course and with the camera lens covered. This video proposes a reflection on the photographic instant and the relation of discontinuity that establishes with the present.
The photographing refers to one absent in time, flowing out of the image in which the photographer is absent. It is by the trace of this displaced presence that the photograph is manifested.
In the post-production of the video, sound traveling was altered, cut and pasted at different times of action, but still retained the raccord.
There is no human presence. The running body is not seen, but breathing is an important factor that connects us with the experience of its interiority.
